I am an Irish artist based in Dublin. I was born and raised in Ballina Co Mayo in the west of Ireland. For the past 35 years I have been painting with oils on canvas.
My development as an artist has been influenced by the diversity of shape and form and the ever changing light and colour in the environment in which I grew up and where I continue to spend a lot of time. This is an area between the strong Atlantic coastline and the rugged Ox mountains.
In my painting I try to depict this landscape by creating a dialogue between the Abstract and the Representational
